Grandma and I always had the best time together. There was always nothing but smiles & giggles ☺️ I was the only one she ever wanted to cut her toe nails, and my faces while doing it always cracked her up. I remember the chili bowl hair cuts she gave me and going to riffs condo on the bus every weekend. She will truly be missed God gained a beautiful angel 😇 

If was hungry she would feed you if needed a helping hand she'd give you her last dollar hope all the find memories eases your pain. United with riff in a better place

I always remembered my grandma taking me on bus rides and downtown with riff and the other grandkids to make decorated cookies during christmas time. I also remember my grandma eating cheetos and drinking a quart of beer . She said she like the way the beer taste. Lol. I always remember my grandma riding the bus everywhere .  

Debbie, Beverly, June and Cleveland, I am so sorry for your loss. She was truly a friend and a trooper. Always had a smile on her face. I pray God will comfort you through this difficult time.

One summer while home visiting i got a really bad splinter in my foot and we couldn't get it out no matter what we tried, i even started to get the red line from infection. Thankfully my grandma told us to come over she knew just what to do. She boiled an egg and put the skin over my splinter and let it dry. I was amazed when it dried up it pulled the splinter out enough where we could grab it. She had saved the day and the rest of my trip for sure, one of many memories I'll never forget about my Grandma Sweet Thang. We love you Grandma!

Grandma thank you for all that you taught me. I am never going to forget you you have been a big part of my life I remember being a kid you showed me the way the world was and you had to always protect yourself and for that you be in my heart for ever. You showed me that being yourself is ok and it didn't even matter what other people say. I love you and will see you again some day!!!

She was my IDA BERRY. I LOVED TO HEAR HER STORIES AND SING . SHE WAS IDA.

Had so much fun with this lady. 
Heaven received a gem of a angel.

She and Mom always had the “discussion “ about who was older!
Many memories were made over Mexican and margaritas.
She and Mom are dancing up a storm up there.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Pence and June Seibert; her partner, Harold "Riff" Smith; grandson, Micheal Howard; brother, Jimmy Pence; and her sisters, Anna Jean McGuire and Gussie Simpson. Survivors include her children, Debbie Eastman, Beverly Howard, June Curtsinger, and Cleveland Howard; grandchildren, Chris, April, John, A.J., Trevor, David, Mitcheal, Eric, Matthew, and Erin; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Shirley Hutchinson and Jennifer Hutchinson.
