Helen Marie Henry

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 66 years, Bob, children: John (Debbie), Kevin (Annette) and Kim, grandchildren: Kendra (Eric), Shanna (Steve), Brad (Stephanie) and Rob (Kate), Great grandchildren: Hannah, Layla, Griffin and Winnie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary Wooldridge, grandson, John Henry, Jr. and eleven Siblings.

After 21 years, Helen retired from the Jefferson County School System where she was the Food Service manager at Okolona Elementary School. Helen will be forever remembered for her kind, caring, loving and generous heart. She made sure no one ever left her house hungry, and she always had a clean and warm bed for anyone in need. Helen’s devout Catholic faith was obvious to all and a source of strength for many.

Funeral Service will be at 10 AM on Tuesday, December 28 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home (4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218).

Visitation will be from 2 PM until 7 PM on Monday, December 27 at the funeral home.

The family suggest memorial donations be made in Helen’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hosparus Health of Louisville.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Hosparus Health and the caregivers of Interim of Louisville.
