He went to be in his heavenly father's open arms to be reunited with his beloved wife of 57 years, LaVerne Miller (Farries). Guy was a Purple Heart recipient of World War II, serving with the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by his wife, LaVerne Miller (Farries); four brothers; one sister; and one great-grandson.
Survivors include son, William Guy Miller (Kay); daughters, Patricia Ann Cowley (Woody), Dorothy Lee Browning (Donald), and Vanessa Jean Parker (Jim); sister, Ruth Russ; brothers, Marvin, Bobby and Ronald Miller; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be at noon Thursday at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Okolona. Burial is in St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation: Wednesday, 2-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m.Thursday until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hosparus or American Cancer Society .
