Born to Frank and Juanita Crawford of Memphis TN in 1942, she was a bright and kindly spirit of unending friendliness. She spent her life enriching those around her, be they family, friends or just a passing stranger who looked like they needed an ear to talk to. Frankie was never less than completely generous and always willing and able to help anyone in need.
A fan of music and the arts Frankie's favorite past times were playing the piano on sunny afternoons and painting when she felt inspired. She loved Christmas, making biscuits for family on Sundays and taking care of the family cat. She worked for UPS for 32 years where she made dozens of friends.
She is survived by Charles, her husband of 60 years. Married in 1962 they spent their years together raising a family and enjoying time with friends. They spent their many years together side by side, helping one another through all obstacles and hardships so that they could come out the other side better than before.
She is also survived by her son, Erik Ainsworth, his wife Jessica and their daughter Lilly, who was grandma's favorite ice cream buddy. Her daughter, Allyson Werner and her husband Tony, both whom spent much of Frankie's final years by her side. Her brother Michael Crawford and his wife Becky, two of the most loving people anyone could ask to have in their life.
She will be missed by everyone in her life far and wide and her warmth and generosity can never be replaced.
A visitation for Frankie will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
