Frances (“The Beast”) was a longtime member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, was President of The Frivolous, an avid “investor”, and was known to enjoy a good glass of wine. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and GG “ETIDLK”.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond “Bud” Ackerman. Survivors include her children John Ackerman, Sr (Lisa), Carla Sturgeon (Mark), Michelle Ryan, and Carol Hoben (Todd); a brother, Randall DeNardi; a sister, Mary Whitaker; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Monday at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3509 Taylor Blvd, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Sunday at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd.
Memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
