Floyd E. Phillips

He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Geraldine Phillips, his daughter Nora Catherine "Cathy" Phillips, and a brother J.W. Phillips.

Floyd is survived by his daughter Vickie Phillips Scherzer (Eddie), 5 brothers; Kendall Phillips, Walton (Happy) Phillips, Harold Kelly Phillips (Sue), Hugh Allen Phillips (Becky), Connie Phillips (Peggy). Along with three sisters, Daisy Phillips Coulter (Johnny), Dorothy Phillips Tarter, and Judy Phillips O'Keefe (John).

Floyd retired from G.E in 1988, acquiring many long time friends throughout his life. He loved playing golf. He had played at over 100 different golf courses. He also enjoyed playing cards with family, friends, and senior citizens.

A note from Vickie "He was my hero and taught me everything I know. I loved him with all my heart! He was a great handyman and fix-it man. He fixed everything for family and friends, or whoever asked him to work on something."

Funeral service will be at 2 PM on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home (4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218).

Visitation will be from 11 AM until service time of 2 PM at the funeral home on Friday.
