Elsie Jean Rucker, 90, of Louisville, KY, died on April 8, 2025, at Highlands Nursing Home. She is survived by two sisters, Mary Jo Dorsey and (Carolyn) Sue Doughty. Siblings who died prior to her death were brothers Ernest “Tink” Satterly and Orville Ray Satterly, and sisters Ruby Ulery, Margaret Lee, Edna Trunnell, Betty Ryan and Faye Kaufman.
Elsie was born to Ernest Satterly, Sr., and Bessie Cole Satterly on April 18, 1934, in Spencer County, KY. She attended Mt. Washington Elementary and High Schools.
She was a long-time employee of Standard Oil Co. in Louisville, KY, San Francisco, CA, and Miami, FL. She loved Florida and lived there for many years after retirement.
Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life will be held at Resthaven Cemetery Chapel on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 1:00 PM. You may join us for dinner after at Roosters, 5338 Bardstown Road.
