Elizabeth Jean Whobrey

She was born to the late Dolores and Eddie Barnette. Elizabeth was also preceded in death by the father of her children, Ted Whobrey, children; Jimmy Whobrey, Kenneth Whobrey, Cindy Whobrey, Johnny Whobrey, Michael Whobrey, Kenneth Paul Whobrey, and grandchildren, Tiffany Smith and Crystal Bryant. Best friend John Bryant and fur baby, Mimi.

Elizabeth had a personality that was bright and full of laughter. She cared for the neighborhood kids, becoming the "neighborhood mom". She made sure they had a home and meal to eat. Taking them anywhere they needed to go. Elizabeth loved to cook, bacon was her absolute favorite part of every meal. She took in her childrens dogs as her own, Keno and Teddy. If you didn't see her with the kids, you could find her playing Bingo, watching wrestling or listening to music.

Here to cherish her memory are her children; Darrell Whobrey, Bonnie (Fred) Gupton, Delores Whobrey, Troy Whobrey (Daisy), Bobby Whobrey and Travis Bryant. 20 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren, will also continue to cherish her memory.

Visitation will occur on Wednesday, October 16th from 1-8pm at Arch L. Heady and Son- Cralle, 2428 Frankfort Ave, Louisville, KY 40206. Funeral Service will take place in the chapel of Arch L. Heady and Son- Cralle at 10am on Thursday, October 17th. Elizabeth will be laid to rest within St. Stephen Cemetery, 1808 S. Preston Street Louisville, KY 40217.
