She was born on August 30, 1930 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Frank and Agnes Massey.
Betty was joined in Holy Matrimony to John Joseph Lefebvre on June 16, 1951.
Her parents; husband, John Joseph Lefebvre; infant daughter, Carol Yvonne; three brothers; and three sisters precede her in death.
Betty loved volunteering at the Soup Kitchen, traveling, shopping, hosting family events, discovering new restaurants and weekly card parties with her siblings. She was a member of Ascension Church.
Left to cherish Betty’s memory are her six children, Denise Morgan (Dave), John Lefebvre (Karen), Michelle Burtel, Milissa Smith, Amy Bowling (Greg), Bridget Waters (Gordon); fourteen grandchildren, Dave Morgan, Jr., Jennifer Wilson, Kristie & Jeremy Burtel, Janelle Vaesa, Emily Pierce, Jenny Eckert, Adam Smith, Savannah Carrol, Cody Smith, Grant & Rachel Bowling, Makenzie Chapman and Sidney Waters; sixteen great-grandchildren; four sisters, Shirley Maguire, Carol Edlin, Pat Bell and Judy Pretty; and a loving host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 11th at 10 a.m. at Ascension Church, 4600 Lynnbrook Drive, Louisville, KY 42220. Betty will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park.
