Edgar "Richard" Brown

Richard is preceded in passing by his birth mother, Ruth Hauseman; his parents, Edgar W. Brown and Edna A. Brown; and his brother Terry Lee Brown. Here to carry on his memory are his children, Paul Brown (Melissa), Tim Brown (Mechelle), and Steve Brown (Vanessa); grandchildren Tadd, Emily, Cody, Jacob Joey, Samuel, Chase, and Connor; great-grandchild Elias; siblings Clyde Brown, Robert Brown (Rebecca), Jacqueline Davidson (Jay), Gary Brown (Deborah), and Byron “Scott” Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Richard enjoyed playing poker, and making new friends. He never met a stranger and had a wonderful sense of humor. Richard retired as Chief Instructor at RETS Electronics. In his later days, he loved to watch the birds and squirrels in his backyard. Richard was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Thoroughbred Chorus. The family would like to recognize Jay Davidson for all the special care he provided for Richard.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A funeral service in Richard’s honor will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Kosair Shriners or St. Jude.
