Donna Sue Long

Donna Sue Long, age 83 passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 15, 1939, to the late James and Mary (Ringswald) Williams. Donna retired from Investmart in 2004, where she was an administrative assistant.

Donna's interests were; flea markets, music, music videos, tweety Bird; Jigsaw puzzles, scrabble, yahtzee and traveling, especially to Hawaii. She liked Elvis and loved her family. her greatest joy was spending time with the love of her life, Bob.

Donna is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Bob and her beloved daughter, Angela Marie Long.

Donna is survived by her two daughters: Cheryl A. Long and Karen M. Shelton (Kurt), a sister, Shirley Thomas, three grandchildren: Lauren, Chad, and Cortney, as well as 10 great grandchildren and her dog, Howie, whom she adored.

The family would like to thank all the loving nurses who cared for Donna - Mary M., Mary S., Renee, Angie, Gloria, Carie, Christy, Kathy and Janelle, as well as Hosparus nurse, Brittany.

A visitation for Donna will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218).

A funeral service will occur Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 4:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to Hosparus Health of Louisville or Kentucky Humane Society or the Animal Care Society.
