He was a retired maintenance engineer for Ireland Army Hospital and a Air Force veteran. He enjoyed woodworking as well as spending time with his family, especially his three grandchildren, hunting and afternoon coffee with his bride.
Mr. Hunt is survived by his wife of 54 years, Roxanna Hunt; son, Corey Hunt; daughter, Amy Hunt (Scott Wood); three grandchildren, Jalen, Avrie, and Gunner; two brothers, Ronnie Hunt (Connie) and Paul Hunt; sister-in-law, Jane Hunt; and a host of friends that he felt was his extended family.
His funeral will be on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 10am at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with private interment in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 2pm until 8pm.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Kosair Children's Hospital.
