Debbie grew up in Burkesville, Kentucky and moved to Louisville after she graduated high school. She was employed at General Electric where she met her husband Bill and they were married August 31, 1974. She retired from GE after many years of service. In her younger years she enjoyed playing softball, reading and being part of the Okolona Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Even after her husband retired from the fire department you could still find both of them there volunteering with the Crusade for Children. After retirement from GE she loved to spend time going to the beach with her family and the "Cousins Crew."
She loved her family. Especially her grandchildren and the over 30 nieces, nephews and the greats. She was so proud of them all and enjoyed watching them grow in life and start families of their own. She had another family. Her church family. She was a member of Journey Church in Shepherdsville, Kentucky where you could find her any day of the week doing many different things to "love on her people." And she does love them. If there was a need and she could help, she would. You could find her every Sunday morning making coffee and maybe breakfast, too. If you knew her, you knew love. She was for you and wanted you to know the Love of Jesus and that GOD loves you.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Thelma Price, her sisters, Jill Groce and Karen Schur, a sister-in-law, Pamela Barnes, a nephew, Adam Hannah and her faithful dog Duke.
Debbie is survived by her husband of fifty years, William (Bill) Dieffenwierth, and their daughter, Mandy Beavers and husband Terry, grandchildren, Terrence Beavers, Hannah Beavers and Adam Beavers, siblings, Timothy Price (Becky), Dennis Price (Lynette) and Mark Price (Rebecca), Sisters-in-laws Patricia Hunstman and Priscilla Powell.
