David Lovell

Lovell, David F., age 68 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away June 22nd, 2014. Dave was the son of the late Louis and Florence Lovell and was born in Norwich, Norfolk, England. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Michael Brian and Ron. Survivors include his wife Sandy King Lovell and daughter Debra Lovell Thompson. Survivors also include sister-in-law Sharon Lovell, brothers-in-law Murray E. King (Regina) and Mike R. King (Mary Jean), nephews Ron and Michael Allen Lovell, Patrick and Michael Steven King, niece Theresa King Brown (Nick), great nephew Michael Daniel King and great niece Claire King.

Dave was a member of St. Martin of Tours Church, attended Flaget High School and CMI, member of the U.S. Army 100th Division, a partner at D&L and Transcord Companies and former owner of Lutz Distributing. Dave had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed vacationing in Florida. He will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him.

The family would like to thank all of Dave’s many friends, especially those at Baptist Healthcare Rehab. Visitation is at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road, Louisville, KY on Wednesday, June 25 from 12 noon to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, June 26, 12 noon at St. Martin of Tours Church, 639 S Shelby St, Louisville, KY with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, 1600 Newburg Rd, Louisville, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Children’s Alumni Association, c/o Treasurer, 659 Atwood St., Louisville, KY 40217, the American Cancer Society or the Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates.
