Connie was born on November 20, 1943, to John Edward and Velma Betty Butcher. She grew up in Indiana and graduated from the American School of Chicago. Connie married the love of her life, Buck, on November 2, 1961, in Kokomo, Indiana. Many of their 62 years of marriage involved moving and traveling for Buck’s military commitment. Connie was proud to be an Air Force wife and belonged to the Security Police Wives Club. She raised four children. She served as a Boy Scout Den Mother for each of her boys and helped with the Girl Scouts for her daughter. She also sang in church choirs and taught Sunday School in various places she lived. As a military wife, Connie had the privilege to live outside the U.S. and in several states. She loved to travel, read, listen to music, care for her dogs and hear her husband sing. She loved her family and enjoyed being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Connie belonged to the American WWII Orphans Network, the National WWII Memorial in Washington D.C., and the Howard County Genealogical Society.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, two half-brothers-Virgil Fewell and John Parsons and a son Christopher Paul Bryant.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Buck Bryant, a daughter Tamara Graham (William), and two sons David Bryant (Sonya) and Robert Bryant (Becky). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many loving friends, and her Maltese fur baby, Angel.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. in the Heady Memorial Chapel of the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home - Okolona Chapel. Connie will be laid to rest following the funeral service in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Hour of 12:30 p.m. also at the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home - Okolona Chapel.
Connie requested that memorial donations be made to your local Humane Society and animal shelters.
