Clarence Burnett, 95, of Taylorsville, KY, passed away Wednesday, September, 2, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was retired from General Electric, where he worked for 32 years. He was a devoted husband to his beloved Alta, to whom he was married for 66 years. He was also a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. Clarence was a member of Elk Creek Baptist Church. He was strong in his principles and faith. As a hard-working, God fearing man, he believed in doing the right thing, even when no one was looking. He enjoyed many years tending to his cattle, horses, donkeys, and ducks. His greatest joy, however, came from having Alta by his side.
Left to cherish his memory are his two children, Connie Decker (Bruce) and Thomas Burnett (Debbie); as well as three grandchildren, Jennifer, Raquel, and Cindy; 13 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Carlos Burnett.
He will be greeted in Heaven by Alta; his parents, Ike and Annie (Ryherd) Burnett; four brothers, Ado, Earl, Ray, and Lester; two sisters, Mary and Jessie Pearl; as well as his precious great-grandson, Hunter.
Due to COVID-19, visitation is restricted to the immediate family.
