Christopher Shoemaker Sr.

Christopher Dean Shoemaker, Sr. passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024. He was born to his late parents, Robert Ford Shoemaker, Sr. and Betty Lee Shoemaker. He is also preceded in passing by his nephew, Justyn Robert Shoemaker.

Chris was a Senior Systems Administrator for Homecare HomeBase and a devout member of Southeast Christian Church. He enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors including, hiking, camping, playing guitar and taking jeep rides. Chris will forever be remembered for his silly jokes that would last years. He was always trying to put a smile on someone’s face and you knew that he liked you by how quickly he gave you one of his witty nicknames. Chris had a very generous heart and had a special gift of making you feel like you were the most important person when you were in his presence.

Left to cherish his memory are the treasures of his life, children; Christopher Dean Shoemaker, Jr., Kylie Rae Shoemaker, and Camden Ryan Shoemaker; his adoring brother’s; Robert Ford Shoemaker, Jr. (Linda), Alan Kent Shoemaker, Sr. (Kim), Bryan Lane Shoemaker, Sr. (Charlotte), Charles Douglas Shoemaker and many loving nieces and nephews.

A visitation to celebrate Chris’ life will be held on Sunday, March 3rd from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218. Funeral Service will follow on Monday, March 4th 2:00pm at the funeral home, burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
