Chief Garry Lee Key

Garry Lee Key, age 70, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to his heavenly father on Saturday, February 13, 2021. Chief Key was born in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late James and Kathleen Key on March 1, 1950.

Garry was a dedicated public servant, he was a proud United States Army Veteran. After his military service Garry continued his public service joining the Zoneton Fire Department, he was a part of that department for thirty-six years and was acting chief before he passed away. He also was a special deputy in Bullitt County and a Bailiff with the court system in Bullitt County.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of almost fifty years, Linda Key, Son, Tracey Key(Jenni), daughter, Dawn Key, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of other family members, friends and community members. Garry was loved by all.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 1-8pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home in Okolona. Visitation will also be at 11am on February 22, 2021 at Okolona Christian Church, (10801 Faithful Way) with a celebration of life service at 12pm. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
