He resided in Louisville, Kentucky throughout life, and was a graduate of Manual High School and University of Louisville. Charles married the love of his life Barbara in 1958, was a friend to many, and a local small business owner.
He is survived by his wife Barbara and their three children: Cathy, John (Dana), and Doug (Lara); and by five grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son-in-law. Charles will be deeply missed; although the many cherished memories, consistent messaging, and practical advice across a wide variety of topics will live on.
Charles lived a life of integrity and love, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him. He was a family man, athlete, instructor, and loved Christ the Lord.
A visitation for Charles will be held on Saturday, December 21, from 10:30am to 12:00pm with a service to follow at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Lou., KY.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Red Cross or to a charity of your choice.
