Carolyn J. Powers

Born on May 15, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky, Carolyn was the daughter of the lates’ Frank R. Howard and Angela Heitzman. She was a member of the Beechwood Baptist Church and was a retired medical assistant from Norton Healthcare.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Frank R. Howard and Angela Heitzman; husband, James Powers; 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Susan (Tony) Ruelas, Angela (Todd) Rayhill and Sandy (Bryan) Alvey; grandchildren, Jessica (Joey) Ricklefs, T.J. Rayhill, Hannah Rayhill, Ryan Rayhill and Lena Alvey; great – grandchildren, Jeremiah Ricklefs, Hannah Gail Trujillo, Paisley Ricklefs; siblings, Gerri (Wayne) Allen and Margaret (Richard) Steele; best friend, Gail Maraman; her beloved dog, Sam; nieces, nephews, church family and friends.

Private Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Funeral Services will be Live Streamed via our Facebook page, Evergreen Funeral Home & Evergreen Cemetery beginning at 1:45 p.m.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 beginning at 2:00 p.m. for the Elderly & Vulnerable and from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. for the public also at the Evergreen Funeral Home.
