Betty Sue Clark

Mrs. Betty Clark went to be with her Heavenly Father December 17, 2022. Betty was born June 20, 1947 in Grayson County, Kentucky. She was a retired member of the Jefferson County Board of Education for 20 plus years. She was a Christian and active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church since 1990 (former member of Harmony Baptist Church) where she worked in their clothes closets, back packs for Appalachia mountain children, Girls Action, Lottie Moon Missions and many more.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Clark; her parents, Eugene and Kathleen Blanton; and her sister, Verna Collins( Blanton).

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Betty Clark Hawkins (Eric) and Gary Wayne Clark (Jennifer); six grandchildren, Catrina Hawkins, Connor Hawkins, Sean Hawkins, Victoria Clark, Gary Clark ll (Jaclyn) and Marissa Watts(Damian; , two great-grandchildren, Adalynn Watts and Joseph Watts; siblings, Gwen Bettle(Sam), Sandra Fulkerson(Kenneth), and Dwight Blanton(Geri).

Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 2pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11am-2pm at the funeral home.

The family would like to request that memorial donations in Betty’s name be directed to Bethlehem Baptist Church Back Pack Mountain Outreach Program Ministries.
