She was born September 14, 1919 in Louisville, the daughter of Joseph Hillary Ball and Katherine Rose Peake Ball, who preceded her in death.
Coletta was a homemaker and a longtime member of Shively Christian Church.
She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty nine years, Joseph "Buster" Mattingly; two brothers and three sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Joseph "Buster" Mattingly (Ginger), Michael Mattingly (Sharon), and Gerald "Jerry" Mattingly (Pam); seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Coletta's Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at noon on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
