Sometime I feel your presence.  I will think of you, and it just comes to me.  When I get dressed up to go someplace formally, I think of all the lessons you taught me about elegance, when to wear a formal long gown, as oppose to a cocktail dress.  Tony's daughter got married on New Years Eve.  The boys were there and they looked great.  You would have been proud of me.  I remember a tea dress you had, and I decided to wear a black tea length dress, with pearls and Swarovski crystal on them. It was a bustier but it was covered with a black sheer dotted tule that covered one shoulder.  Over that shoulder I pinned a crystal heart pin, to match the crystal heart on each shoe.  Boy did my feet hurt.  They were 3 inch Christian Loubiton shoes. I pinned pearls in my hair to keep it up with strings of curls dangling down. I felt like a princess. You really would have been proud I think

Happy Birthday Mom.  I love you. I wish I could call you today and tell you happy birthday.  I pray you are resting in peace.

I think about you a lot.  Some times I believe you are with me, listening, and trying to talk to me.  But its my imagination right?  I get sad when I think of things I could call you about; like telling you about a formal function I'm going to and getting you advise on my shoes and purse, asking you to go on a cruise with me, telling you about what the boys are doing, even flying down to Miami and visiting Jordan.  He's a pilot instructor now.  He loves his job.  It's hard to believe he is a working man now.  I pray you are resting well and you are not in distress.  We are all doing well.  Love you Mom

Hey Mom.  I know you are looking in on us. Sometimes, I think I feel you near. The kids are growing up so fast. Mikale goes to the same university as Marcus. Jordan has graduated and is now a pilot instructor. They are all so handsome. You would really be so proud. I wish I could call you, even if it is to argue. But, you are no longer sick, so we can't be selfish.  I will always remember Hawaii. Both times I flew you out to stay with me. I will always remember how happy you were and how care-free.  Meeting strangers, camping at the beach, and drinking piña coladas together. I have those memories, and with the fun times, and bad......the fun always out weighs. Love your daughter Claudia

Its a new year 2014. I made it there.  I wish you could have too.  Your passing has made me realize that when you leave this world, just as the Lord said, "For we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction." 1 Timothy 6:7-10. When we pass, what is left is stuff, that we can do nothing with once we leave. What matters is who was the master in the life we were given, money, or our Lord and Savior. Again, just stuff! This has altered my priorities greatly. Sometimes I think of you, at unexpected moments, and I can't help but cry. But why, when you are the blessed one. "Stop wailing," Jesus said. "She is not dead but asleep." Luke 8:52

Barbara, I wish I could talk to you today. Today I would have picked up the phone to cry on your shoulders and you would start crying too, turning MY conversations into YOURS (smile)!!Watch over your cousin now as she needs you to, I'm counting on you cuz...I miss you much. It's just not the same anymore!!

I can't find the words to say auntie, It hurts everyday, feel like a knife cutting me and the tears just start to fall down like now! I know you want me to be strong and stop acting like this but' I can seem to get it together that I want be able to see you or talk to you or laugh and joke with you anymore, Its like I can't wake up and its not real! PLEASE SAY ITS NOT REAL!!!!!!! PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE OH "LORD" I cant do this right now o.k. auntie I will be back to talk to you! I LOVE YOU  SO MUCH SO MUCHHHHH

I can't believe you are gone. But I'm so grateful to The Lord that you will be now at peace.

For years my Mom dealt with kidney dialysis, among other illness. I'm so glad she is finally at rest, but it is still hard for me. I fell she is gone too soon. She was a beautiful woman who taught me things like matching a hat with a belt and shoes. Our favorite memories, she would talk about a lot, was when I flew her to Hawaii twice. She had the best time camping on the beach with me, or staying in the cabins there. Every weekend we would attend a different luau or steam some crab at the house. I'm thankful for those memories.  Sleep now, and I will see you again Mom.......but not just yet.

Thomas, Niecey and Beanie, I am so very sorry to hear about the death of your mother. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.  I will miss her smile, frankness and conversation whenever I saw her. We have a lot of memories growing up in the neighborhood and I will treasure those. Take care and God Bless you and your family. Barbara, as I woke this morning with you on my mind, I started to think back of memories we have shared together, family gatherings, and memories of my summer vacations spent in Louisville, as a teenager(WOW). There will be many days, which will bring fond memories of you to mind. You have gone no further from us than to God and God is very near. Loved and Missed with a grief beyond all tears, my Dear Cousin. Rest In Peace!!

I have memories in my pocket.

Meet You At The Gate
A beautiful garden now stands alone,
missing the one who nurtured it
But now she is gone,
Her flowers still bloom, and the sun it still shines,
But the rain is like tear drops, for the ones left behind,
The weeds lay waiting to take the gardens beauty away,
But the beautiful memories of its keeper are in our hearts to stay,
she loved every flower even some that were weeds,
So much love she would plant with each little seed,
But just like her flowers she was part of Gods plan,
So when it was her time he reached down his hand,
He look through the Garden searching for the best,
That's when he found Barbara, it was her time to rest,
It was hard for those who loved her, to just let her go,
But God had a spot in his garden, that needed a gentle soul,
So when you start missing Barbara, remember if you just wait,
When God has a spot in his garden, She'll meet you at the gate....

Words cannot explain what I am feeling over the loss of my beloved Cousin/Friend, Barbara Ann. So many beautiful memories cross my mind as I think back of my time with Barbara and each and every one of you. I am truly so sorry for your loss.
