He was a devout Catholic and was an altar server from a very young age. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church where he was a lector, and a catechist involved with the RCIA program. He was also a member of The Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family in his spare time.
He graduated from Bellarmine College with a liberal arts degree. He worked for Singer Sewing Company where he met his wife of nearly 50 years, Independent Industries, and retired from Metal Sales, Inc.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Palaisa Sr., and Shirley Kiefer Palaisa, and his sisters, Stephanie Palaisa and Katie Heavrin and his daughter, Amy Elizabeth Palaisa.
Mr. Palaisa is survived by his wife, Marsha May Palaisa; his daughters, Suzanne Green (Phillip) and Emily Miller (Matthew); his sisters, Phyllis Risch (Dan), Melanie Palaisa, and Elizabeth Wilson (Ted); and his brother-in-law, David Heavrin. He also had grandchildren Andrea (Kyle), Jessica (Mouhadin), Emilie, Hannah (Jalen), Chelsie (Dustin), Lily and Hazel as well as eight great-grandchildren.
His funeral mass will be on Wednesday, July 24th at 11am at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5431 Johnsontown Rd, with interment following in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3pm until 8pm at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway.
