She was a retired teacher from JCPS, and was a WKU and Bellarmine University graduate. She loved dogs, the beach, and spending time with her family and granddaughter.
Annette is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Applegate, husband, Phillip W. Powell and their son, Wesley Alan Powell.
She is survived by her sister, Jenny Fasteen-Wood, a granddaughter, Reese Elizabeth Powell, nephews, Chris and Travis Fasteen and a niece, Leslie Frame.
A celebration of Annette’s life will be conducted at 2 pm on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 3-8 pm on Monday, August 13, 2018.
