Gary Gene Rowden

Gary was an 18 year veteran with the Houston Fire Department. He started off as a paramedic and advanced to Arson Investigator. He then became a police officer with the Houston Independent School District and retired after twenty years. He was ever vigilant, watchful, and always faithful to serve his fellow man.

Gary is survived by; son Marty Rowden; and daughter Susan Rowden-Ferguson; brother Norman Rowden, sister Cathy Swanner and sister Mona Furr; grandchildren Seven Grandchildren and grandchildren Three Great Grandchildren.

Gary was preceded in death by; father Virgil William Rowden and mother Lucille Sutton Rowden, and brothers Terry Rowden and Johnny Rowden

A visitation for Gary will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Lakeview Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM. A burial will occur Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
