LONGVIEW Dorothy Mae Wilkerson of Gilmer died November 14, 2015, after a long battle with cancer. Dorothy was born in Lott, Texas to Thomas and Edna Mae Polk. Dorothy was an avid gardener and was much loved by her family and friends for her gentle ways and loving spirit.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Willie Gene Wilkerson and six children, Paul and Connie Self, Robert and Lanna Self, Freddy and Karron Tucker, Danny and Mary Medrano, Willie Gene Wilkerson, Jr. and Triston Ashton Wilkerson; 2 step children, Mike Wilkerson and Jeannie McClanahan, 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters; 1 brother; and a whole host of friends.
Visitation with family will be at Lakeview Funeral Home in Longview on Tuesday, November 17, from 2-3 p.m. Services will begin at 3 p.m.
