Charlene Mae Davis

Charlene was a graduate of Longview High School in 1956. She worked as a secretary at Alexander & Sons Welding and Perry Brothers in Longview. She was a longtime member of Glenwood Baptist Church and Oak Forest Country Club.

Mrs. Davis enjoyed helping with church projects, gardening, fishing, and golfing. She cherished spending game night with the grandchildren and her pet donkey Doodlebug. She was well known for her award winning peanut butter fudge and peanut brittle.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Jack Garland Shaw; oldest son, Jack Lewis Shaw; and younger brother, Shirl King Jones.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Edwin Davis, Jr.; son, Robert Wayne Shaw; step son, Jimmy Earl Davis and wife Marie; step daughters, Angela Lynn Davis, Sharon Kaye Bonner, and Rebecca Sue Davis; 5 grandsons; 5 granddaughters; 5 great-grandsons; 3 great-granddaughters; sister-in-law, Ayvonne Jones; and multiple cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service for Charlene will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Longview, Texas.
