Billy Royce Goodman, the Patriarch of our Goodman family finally retired on Labor Day 2024, being an accountant, never losing his balance. Born in Delhi Louisiana 11.27.1933 to Fred and Annie Goodman. He eloped with Polly Black on 08.05.1952 and married in Arkansas. Bill enjoyed spending precious time with Polly traveling the world, golfing with his buddies, his family time, and the first Tuesday of the month having dinner with his first-born Grandson Jason.
Bill Graduated from Central High School in the rural area of Delhi, LA., and furthered his education through correspondence courses receiving his accounting degree and getting his: EA (Enrolled Agent), ATA (Accredited Tax Advisor), and CFS (Certified Funds Specialist). He was a proud long time member of New Beginnings in Longview, Texas. A well-beloved Brother Master Mason of 64 years to the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas. He has been certified since 1975 with the National Society of Public Accountants. He was a Certified Registered Investment Advisor Agent Since the founding of HD Vest Financial Services in 1986. Receiving the Recognition and Appreciation of Outstanding Performance in Sales and Service from 1992-1994 with Kite and Key Club of the Franklin Group of Funds. Also, he was a lifetime member of Oak Forest Country Club from 1976. Bill was also a proud M.A.G.A. Trumpy with the flag, the hat, the shirt, and the socks to prove it!
Bill is preceded in Death by his parents Fred and Annie Goodman; sister Betty Joyce Plunkett, and brothers Larry and Ronnie Goodman. He is survived by his Soulmate Polly Goodman; two sisters, Audrey McKinnley and Bobbie Rolen; children, Billy and Trish Goodman, Alan and Robin Goodman, Gerri BonDurant, Paula and Jim Hardwick; grandchildren, Jason Martin, Jaquie Martin, Josh and Reagan Goodman, Jordan and Bill Jackson, Sammy Hardwick, Amy Egan, Jessi Goodman, Rachel and Nicole Goodman, Tanner Hatfield, Ben and Sarah Goodman, Marti and Braden Thompson, and James Goodman; great grandchildren, Ty Howell, Lux Lewis, Eli, Isaiah, Annie, Zeke Goodman, Gracye Egan-Wilkes, Brooks and Banks Thompson, Jaxon Goodman, Wylie Fuller, Olivia Goodman, Elle and Jude Jackson; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Friday September 6, 2024 at 1:00 pm followed by a Celebration of His Life at 2:00 pm at New Beginnings - 2137 East George Richey Road, Longview, TX 75604
