Viola Louise Weilnau

Viola Louise Hafer Weilnau passed away June 14, 2017 at TRU Hospice Care Center in Boulder. She was 97 years old.Viola was born on March 22, 1920 in Brehnam, Texas to Henry and Louise (Conrad) Hafer. She went to High School in Womack and Accounting School in Dallas, TX.On November 27, 1949 she married Lawrence William Weilnau in Womack, TX. While living in Womack she worked with her father at his store.She moved to Longmont in 1967 from Ohio. Viola was a member of Westview Presbyterian Church, the Farm Bureau and their women's extension.Viola enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and loved to go to the casinos in Blackhawk. She was a great seamstress, an excellent cook and helped to raise three of her grandchildren.Viola was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence; her parents and two brothers Henry David and L.C.She is survived by her children Larry (Shirley) Weilnau, Linda (Daryl) Arnold and Lyle Weilnau; her grandchildren Stephen (Garan), Matthew, Joseph (Blair), Casey Weilnau and Amber (Steve) Lucero; her great grandchildren Devin, Powers, Reese and Tegan Weilnau, Anastasia, Britney and Anthony Lucero.Visitation 12:00-1:00pm Wednesday June 21, 2017 with a funeral service following at 1:00pm at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
