Thomas Michael (Camillo) Orsini known as Tommy passed away October 9, 2015. He was born September 24, 1924 to Giovanni John and Ascenzia Nancy (Di Yanni) Orsini in Lodi, New Jersey. During World War II, he served in the United States Army in the Asian Pacific Theater at Guadalcanal, New Guinea and the Philippines earning three Battle Stars, a Presidential Unit Citation and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon. He was honorably discharged in 1946.In October 1947, he married Mary Margaret Edell who preceded him in death September 28, 2003 and is buried in Fort Logan National Cemetery. During the Korean War, he was employed as an aircraft engine inspector and worked on flight simulators at Wright Aeronautics.He received a float plane pilots license in 1954 and was a member of the Civilian Air Patrol (CAP) in New Jersey.With support and help from his wife, he attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey and received an electrical engineering degree in 1963.He joined Western Electric in Kearny, New Jersey in 1957. Then in 1969, he transferred to a newly built Western Electric plant in Westminster, CO. He retired in 1989.He is a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.He is survived by his daughter, Rosemary Orsini, of Highlands Ranch, CO and his sister, Santina Gandolfo, of Rochelle Park, New Jersey. He is preceded in death by his parents Giovanni and Ascenzia, and his sister Jean.Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:30 pm, Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel; with a Vigil Service beginning at 6:30 pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015 at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
