Thomas Charles Cobb, 85, of Longmont, CO passed away September 30, 2015. Tom was born on August 28, 1930 to Orval and Edith (Collins) Cobb in Belleville, Kansas.Tom graduated from Clay Center Kansas High School and in 1951, graduated from General Motors Institute, now Kettering Institute, in Flint, MI. Tom served for 4 years in the United States Air Force as Staff Sergeant, Vehicle Parts Specialist at Lowry AFB in Colorado. After the service, he worked 6 years for Buick Motor Division as a Field Service Engineer.Tom married his high school sweetheart, LaDonna Jean Todd, on November 11, 1950. They were married 53 years, LaDonna passed away in 2003. He and LaDonna spent many hours going on trail rides and to horse shows with their children. They also enjoyed dancing together and taking trips, just the two of them.Tom owned and operated several businesses in Longmont, Cobb Motor Supply, Cobb Tractor Supply and T & L Construction, with LaDonna as bookkeeper. Tom retired in 2012 and handed down the construction business to his son after being the general contractor for 51 buildings and numerous remodeling projects in and around Longmont.Tom married Mary Blue in April of 2006. They were fortunate to travel to 4 continents and enjoyed many activities together including making their own wine.Tom was a member of Longmont United Methodist Church for over 50 years, serving on the Trustee Board and teaching Sunday school. Tom was a member of the Longmont Chamber of Commerce, Longmont Master Board of Appeals, Longmont Housing Development Association, Rotary Club, Elks, American Legion and worked with the Downtown Development Authority to build new storefronts on 9 buildings. He was a member and President of the Roundup Club.Tom was an avid horse owner and rider and was the leader of the Clover Leaf Riders 4-H Club for 21 years. He enjoyed playing bridge and taking his 1982 Corvette to car shows. He was an avid Broncos and Rockies fan. When Tiny Tim School (now the TLC Learning Center), an early childhood education and therapy center for children with disabilities needed to expand, T & L Construction took on the project, with Tom donating all of his time to remodel an old cinder block warehouse. He also supervised remodels and additions to the Methodist Church, donating a portion of his time and materials.Tom was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife LaDonna and his son Charles Chuckie Cobb.Tom is survived by his wife Mary of Longmont, daughter Sheryl Sherry Annan of Brush, CO, son Scott Cobb (Debi) of Denver, CO, grandchildren Travis Annameier (Shelly) of Ft. Collins, CO, Ryan Annan and Fiancé Kari Castor of Ft. Morgan, CO, Jordon Cobb (Kelly) of Longmont and Rachael Cobb of Broomfield, CO.Visitation from 5-7pm, Monday, October 5, 2015 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Funeral service 1pm, Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Heart of Longmont. Burial at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
