Robert T. Lynch

Robert T. Lynch, 90 of Longmont, passed away August 15, 2018 at Genesis Assisted Living in Lafayette, CO. He was born September 7, 1927 in Beaman, Iowa to Thomas and Maude (Lipley) Lynch.He graduated from Beaman High School and later served in the US Army from 1946 through 1948.Robert married Janice Barfels on October 30, 1947 and they later moved to Longmont, CO in 1963.Robert worked for Public Service Company of Colorado for twenty-seven years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, the Elks Lodge and Aspen Leaf Winnies. He enjoyed volunteering for the Boulder County Fair, meeting new longtime friends and families in the process.He was a jack of all trades and gardener. His yard was immaculate, and his garden always produced the perfect tomato. He enjoyed dancing with his wife Janice and traveling across the U.S. and Canada in their motor home.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Janice in 2002, two sons, James Lynch and Thomas Lynch, grandson Michael Lynch, a brother Richard, and four sisters; Virginia Zink, Mary Katherine Stevenson, Donna Holl, and Lois Skramovsky.Robert is survived by his daughter, Christine Pisciotta (Chris), son, J l Lynch (Kathy), a daughter in law, Dianne Lynch, a brother Kent Lynch, seven grandchildren; David, Ethan, Jason, Angel, Jennifer, Matthew, and Morgan. Numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.Memorial service will be 1 PM, Friday, Aug. 24, 2018 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will follow service at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
