Robert J. (Buck) Rogers, 68, passed away April 19, 2016 in Erie, Colorado. He was born February 3, 1948 in Northbridge, Mass. to John F. and Agnes (Billiel) Rogers.Bob attended Northbridge High School where he was Co-Captain of the football and track teams. He ventured off to college to the University of Utah, fell in love with the West, and graduated and received his PhD in Geology.Bob worked for the U.S. Geological Survey. He married Janice Nestuk Schlomberg on March 19, 1983. Bob retired at age 58 moving to Arrowsic, Maine, spending the winters in Erie to be near children and grandchildren.Bob enjoyed traveling internationally with his wife, especially to Africa. He also loved photography, birding, gardening and time with his grandchildren.He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Janice, daughter Kimberly Krusinski (Robert), son Kurt Schlomberg (Jamie), grandchildren Thaddeus and Aidan Krusinski and Alexander, Violet and Ava Grace Schlomberg, mother Agnes and sister Diane. No services will be held as was requested by Bob. Cremation was entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
