Ramona was born on August 18, 1955 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Almond L. and Marianne (Kuffner) Curtice. She was part of a military family and grew up and lived in Hawaii, Italy, Texas, Michigan, Colorado Springs and Longmont. She married Jack Olson in Colorado Springs on February 6, 1987and they would have celebrated 27 wonderful years together. Ramona and Jack were members of LifeBridge Christian Church.
Ramona worked in a variety of different areas. She was a waitress, an electrical engineer, an assistant manager at Western Sizzler, a CNA and medical assistant for medical clinics, and was the Director of Assisted Living at Good Samaritan Village in Loveland for the last 15 years. She had a patent issued for a power charger she developed while working for Electromec. Ramona received her BA degree in Business Management from Regis University in 2010.
Ramona’s greatest hobby was to love and spoil her six grandchildren. She loved cooking and entertaining for her family and friends. She enjoyed sewing, remodeling and decorating her home. Hunting, fishing and camping with her family were some of her favorite pastimes. Ramona was down to earth, but also enjoyed the fine arts. She loved to repaint her living room in her favorite sweat pants during the day, and then throw on a fancy dress and go to a play that night. Ramona had a beautiful spirit and loving heart, and she touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Ramona was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Roland Rohrer. She is survived by her husband Jack; two sons: Kristofer Schultz of Longmont, and Jesse Knight and wife Jessica of Longmont; grandchildren: Shelli, McKenzie, Audrey, Hunter, Anthony, and Brianna. She is also survived by a brother, Peter Curtice and wife Maryann of Florence, AL and two sisters: Leilani Gontier and husband Christopher of Longmont, and Patty Mitchell and husband Mack of Sacramento, CA and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 10, 2014 at LifeBridge Christian Church in Longmont. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with final expenses and may be sent to Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, CO 80501.
