Nancy Eileen Ross Goin was born October 18, 1941 in Fort Morgan, Colorado to parents Glade “Curly” Ross and Betty Ross. She graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1959 and from Nebraska Wesleyan University at Lincoln Nebraska in 1963 with a major in Special Education. Within her first week at Nebraska Wesleyan she met Lynn Goin, her future husband. They were married their senior year and graduated in 1963. After graduation, they moved to Van Nuys, California where she taught first grade for two years. They moved back to Colorado where she continued her teaching career. Nancy and Lynn raised two sons, Gregory and Garner. They also lived in San Jose California and Tucson Arizona but returned to their home state and remained in Colorado through their retirement.
Nancy was a meticulous counted cross-stitcher and created many extreme pieces for weddings, anniversaries and other occasions.
Nancy was a committed, dedicated friend to her close high school friends, college friends and others throughout her teaching career. She had a very strong faith and belief in God. As a member of Westview Presbyterian Church, she served as a Deacon, was faithful to her church groups, as well as cancer support groups.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Curly and Betty Ross, her dear sister Doris Haug, and her infant brother Jimmy. She is survived by her husband Lynn Goin, her sons Gregory Goin (Cathy) and Garner Goin (Shana), and her grandchildren Jett, Bailey, Kylie, and Samantha. She was a special “Aunt Nancy” to our many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed dearly by our close cousins (GTO’s) and many friends. Nancy was a loved “sister” to Lynn’s siblings; Ronald Goin, Ruth and Ed Ehlers, Bill and Audrey Goin, and Philip and Janiece Goin.
