Mary Ann P. Van Buskirk

Mary Ann (Piñon) Van Buskirk, 80 of Longmont, CO passed away February 16, 2019. Mary Ann, better known as Nana, was born May 9, 1938 in Garden Grove, CA to Cesario and Felicitas (Sanchez) Piñon. She was the 7th of nine children. Nana grew up in southern California and graduated from Mater Dei Catholic High School in 1956. She received her certificate for Legal Secretary and worked in the profession for over 45 years. On June 22, 1963, Nana married the love of her life, architect Ralph P. Van Buskirk and settled in Huntington Beach, California. During her life she was also a model, a performing ballerina, a seamstress and needle artist, and enjoyed giving english tea parties. Nana was a devout catholic her entire life as well as a longtime member of the Devine Mercy Prayer Group. In 2017, she moved to Longmont, CO to be closer to her children in her final years.Nana is preceded in death by her parents, 5 siblings and her beloved husband, Ralphie. She is survived by three children: Christine (Richard) Sparks of Loveland, CO, Craig Van Buskirk of Orange, CA and Jeffrey (Kathleen) Van Buskirk of Longmont, CO; four grandchildren: Jessica (Harold) Morgan, Matt (Amber) Young, Prescott (Carolyn) Van Buskirk, and Kyle (Kerri) Van Buskirk; eight great grandchildren and three siblings: Cesario Piñon Jr., Adeline Trujillo and Henrietta Pinon.A Mass will be held for her on March 19th in California at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church 8345 Talbert Ave Huntington Beach Ca, 92646 with a graveside internment immediately following.
