Mark was born on April 28th, 1958 in Alabama to Patricia McGahee and Raymond Mullane. Mark was raised until age 12 in a convent with nuns who loved and raised him as their own, teaching him manners and to read.
He moved to Virginia for a while due to his father serving in the Marines as a fighter pilot in the Korean War. When his father retired from the military, the family moved back to Mark’s parents’ hometown, Denver. Mark was then placed in the Carmel House in the Boulder area. He lived in several group homes. After a brief time in his early adulthood living independently in an apartment with a roommate, Mark was placed in residential homes with caregivers and their families in the Longmont area.
Mark loved the Denver Broncos football team and was a true fan, living from one game to the next, and following the team's schedule and articles in the newspaper. Mark was an athlete through Special Olympics playing softball and even got his picture in the newspaper for his Frisbee throwing ability, although bowling was his favorite sport. He had his own bowling ball and had impressive bowling skills. He also liked to play bingo and watch movies. His two favorite movies were Robin Hood Men In Tights and King Kong (1976). Mark loved to listen to music and was quite the dancer, too! His favorite type music was Country and Christmas music.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Chris Mullane and Michael Mullane; and many aunts, uncles and other relatives.
