Lorraine L. Grimm of Longmont Co. died at home on December 14th, 2024 at the age of 55. She was born on May 5th, 1969 in East Liverpool, Ohio to the late Wilmont Grimm and Esther (nee Dinch) Grimm. She grew up in Wellsville, Ohio where she enjoyed a happy childhood among many relatives.
In the early 1980’s she and her parents moved to Fort Collins, Colorado to be closer to her siblings, Wilmont Grimm Jr., Jodi Grimm, and the late Amber Grimm.
In Fort Collins, Lorraine graduated from Poudre High School in 1989. She was involved in many activities in the community. Lorraine was very proud of working for seven years at the local Burger King. She valued her independence very much and occasionally over the years she lived on her own in an apartment.
Lorraine was accomplished in her passions of dancing and bowling. She was a lead dancer in the dance troupe “Dance Express” for 15 years, and performed at the Lincoln Center in Fort Collins.
In bowling she scored around 170 at her best which gave her an opportunity to represent the United States in bowling at the 2007 World Special Olympics in Shanghai, China where she won gold and silver medals.
After moving to Longmont CO., she lived with her sister Jodi and attended C.O.R.E. day program through Imagine!, working on weekends at Samples World Bistro. She enjoyed going out to eat and seeing movies as often as possible. Lorraine liked her time at home reading magazines and watching the Broncos and Rockies.
She is survived by her sister Jodi Grimm & brother-in-law David Rusling, brother Wilmont Grimm Jr. & sister-in-law Michelle Grimm, and sister Janet Sue Rice. Nephews - Wilmont (Sonny) Grimm lll., Benjamin Grimm & wife Erika. Niece – Esther Lobato & husband Clinton.

The Celebration of Life will be held at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 10th, at 3:30pm 326 Terry St. Longmont CO., 80501.
The burial will be the following day, Saturday, 11:00am on January 11th at the Grandview Cemetery, 1900 W. Mountain Ave., Fort Collins CO., 80521.
