Kathleen Estella Aragon

Kathleen “Kathy” Estella Aragon of Loveland, Colorado passed away on November 7, 2023 in Loveland. She was born on January 3, 1949 in Longmont, Colorado to Mary Jenny Bustamante. She grew up in Longmont and surrounding areas with her mom, brother, sister and extended family. Kathy attended Longmont High School.

Kathy married Jose A. Aragon on April 28, 1973 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont and together they had 2 children. She worked in Windsor, Colorado at Kodak from the early 1980’s to 1986 so she could begin her career at Hach Company where she was a customer service representative and switch board operator. She was able to retire in February of 2017.

Kathy enjoyed going to car show and making friends that became family over the many year of traveling in street rods all around the country. She was a very hands-on Grandma with her grandson, Christian who had a very close relationship with her. Most recently, she enjoyed watching her “little buddy”, Miles and his sister, Evony. She truly loved being a great grandma!

Kathy is preceded in death by her husband Jose and her mother Mary. She is survived by her daughter Kristina Isadora Aragon and son Scott Aragon – both of Greeley, Colorado; brother Charles (Tammy) Garcia of Denver, Colorado; grandson Christian (Jessica Garcia) Aragon and great grandchildren Miles Ryder Garcia and Evony RayAnne Garcia.

She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, December 7, 10:00 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont, Colorado.
