Joseph (Joe) Charles Morales, a long time resident of Longmont, Colorado, peacefully passed away at his home on August 5, 2024, at the age of 89. Joe was born in Englewood, New Jersey on September 22, 1934, to Francesco (Frank) and Rose Cirincion Morales. Joe was proud of being the son of Italian immigrants from Baucina, Italy. Frank sold linoleum in New Jersey and Rose was a homemaker and a 40 year volunteer with the American Red Cross. Joe graduated from Leonia High School and proudly served in the Navy attaining the rank of Ensign3 as a Diesel Engine Operator on the submarine Argonaut. Following his marriage on February 5, 1956, to his high school sweetheart and lifelong love, Marilyn (Lynn) Hechler, they moved to Denver, Colorado to begin their new life. He began working at IBM in March of 1956 until he retired as a customer engineer. During his employment, he was transferred to the Boulder IBM Plant and moved the family to Longmont where he spent the rest of his days. After retiring, they had a winter home in Mesa, AZ where they made a multitude of good friends and great memories. Joe enjoyed fishing, camping, tennis, gardening and woodcarving throughout his life and cherished the moments he spent with his children and grandchildren. He is preceded into death by his parents Frank and Rose Morales, his loving sister, Pauline Morales (Brink), and his brother Charles Morales. Joe is survived by his wife, Lynn Morales (Hechler), his children, Glenn Clayton Morali (Carolyn), and Dawn Susan Sulley (Gary); his four grandchildren, Dominic Lee Sulley, Janelle Marie Currell (Keith), Sarah Nicole MaKelroy (Matthew) and Garrett Clayton Morali (Talia) and great grandchildren, Cyril Xavier Sulley, Avery Grace and Henry Joseph Currell. A private military service will be held at Ft. Logan Cemetery.
