Donald Preston Matthews

Don Matthews was one of three children born in Middleborough, MA to Harland & Blanche Matthews. He grew up on Cape Cod, MA. After attending New England School of Art on a full scholarship, he joined the Air Force. He was proud to serve his country during the Korean War for four years. When his term of service was up, he settled in Sacramento, CA, where Louise joined him, and they were married. Their union produced three children, all of whom love the Lord. Don loved Jesus with all his heart and was so grateful for the rulership of Jesus Christ, God's Son, in his life. He loved to be in church anytime the doors were open. He loved singing and worshipping the Lord. He leaves behind a rich legacy of the many lives he touched for Jesus. In the presence of the King of Kings, we know Don is still singing today, and that he hopes to see you when you cross to the other side of eternity.Survived by his wife Louise of 61 years; his 3 children: Karen (Kevin), Harland (Diane), and Don, Jr. (Carrie); his 4 grandsons: Joshua, David (Sara), Zachary, and Bobby; his sister, Jeanne (Skip); and many nieces and nephews.Final Resting Place: Mosswood Cemetery, Cotuit, MA.
