Connie Lynne Sutton

Connie Lynne Jones Sutton, age 68, died peacefully at her home on Monday, July 25, 2016 and is now with Jesus in Heaven. She was born November 18, 1947, to James and Bettye (Ragsdale) Jones in Muskogee, OK and was proud to be Cherokee. She grew up in Kansas City, MO, was a 1966 graduate of Center High School, and later attended Pierce Junior College in Woodland Hills, CA. She married Ron Sutton on September 6, 1969, in Kansas City, MO. Together they lived in Sylmar, CA, Shawnee, KS, Gunbarrel, CO, before moving to Berthoud in 1997.

Her proudest achievements were raising her children, providing a beautiful and comfortable home, and helping to care for her grandchildren. Her favorite activities were attending church, singing in the church choir, crocheting blankets as gifts, shopping, and traveling – especially to Scotland. She loved her friends and family and visited her cousins at the Willey family reunions every other year. She knew no strangers, made it a point to hug and thank military personnel, and offered her strength, story, and support to other cancer patients.

Left to remember her love are her husband of 46 years, Ron; Ron’s sister, Carol Sutton; brother, Jim Jones; sister, Marsha (Ken) Christopher; son, Ryan Sutton; daughter, Heather (Brian) Lollar; niece, Nichole (Scott) Wiseman; great-niece, Madison Duke; nephew, Jared Christopher; grandsons, Corrin Lollar, Daegan Lollar, and Riordan Lollar; and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at East Boulder Baptist Church, 7690 Baseline Rd., Boulder, CO.
