Bonnie Marie Miller was born June 23, 1942 in Casper, Wyoming to Nick Keller and Dorothy Brummond. She was the oldest of nine children and was the caretaker of her siblings for all of her young life. She graduated High School in Casper and worked at a drug store for some time, then went to work for Dr. Fowler. She met and married Ken in 1960. They were blessed with the three boys, Gordon, Shane and Steven and then a beautiful little girl Shawna. They moved to Colorado in 1974 and raised their family in their family owned business, Erie Auto Salvage. Bonnie enjoyed bowling and her quiet activities were reading, especially Stephen King, puzzles, board games, cards, horror movies and true crime shows. She also enjoyed crocheting and making some cute clothes for Shawna.
One of her favorite things to say when things were too hectic was “dogs, cats and kids, you better hunt a hole!” The other was “God never gives you more than you can handle.”
Ken was not given a middle name when he was born, but Bonnie needed one so that when she wanted to put him in his place, she could use it. Hence the middle name “Eugene”.
Bonnie’s door was always open and she loved being a mother and grandmother. Everyone always gathered for the holidays at her home in Firestone that she shared with Shawna and her great grandson Kyler. She took in many and loved all. Bonnie was a very selfless woman.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her mother Dorothy, her siblings Karen Townsend, Robin L. Bennett, Wayne Kelsey, Mark Brummond and brothers-in-law Melvin Miller and Danny Byers, niece Stori D. Singer and her precious granddaughter Britni M. Miller.
Bonnie is survived by her husband Kenneth Miller of 63 years. Although they were separated for many years, they remained lifelong friends along with his current partner Willy. Bonnie also is survived by her four children Gordon (Misty), Shane (Tifanee), Steven (Valene) and Shawna. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; sisters Vicki Bryan, Paula Byers and brother Jim (Candyce) Kelsey.
MOTHER …….
The woman that puts the M in Mama, that’s who our mother was, is, and always will be. Mom naturally loved all people – no one was ever a stranger. She cherished her children, their spouses and of course all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the sounding ear for all of us. The words of wisdom, peace and love, never any judgement or condemnation. She wanted peace and happiness for everyone, especially her family. She sacrificed herself for their needs and wants. She was selfless in all corners of her life. She went without so we could have all. We will always love you Mama!
