Austin Dean Hopp was born on June 30, 1994 at 10:01 am at Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley Colorado to Jeffrey Dean Hopp and Kristal Dawn (Fuss) Hopp. Austin passed away at UC Health Medical Center of The Rockies, Loveland, Colorado surrounded by family and loved ones on June 23, 2022.
As a little tike, Kristal and his Grandmother’s would spend countless hours reading books to Austin. His greatest joy was when Grandma Janice read the entire Harry Potter Series with him.
Austin attended Mead Elementary, Mead Middle School, and graduated from Mead High School. Throughout his school years Austin discovered many passions that included reading, writing poetry, music, and sports. In 3rd grade, Austin and his classmates attended the Longmont Symphony, where he fell in love with the violin. Austin attended Holland Music Studio for personal lessons and continued his passion for playing in the Mead Middle School Strings Music Department.
Austin enjoyed sports from an early age where he made many friends. Austin loved playing inline hockey. He and his older brother Andrew played league inline hockey in Longmont. Austin participated in track and field, wrestling, and football where he excelled! Austin received numerous recognitions in sports, writing, poetry, music and was a frequent Honor Roll recipient.
Upon graduating, Austin went to work for Colorado Construction Services, Inc. owned and operated by Scott Cobb, where he learned many skills, and uncovered his passion for painting, that led to Austin starting his painting business, A to Z Perfection Painting. Austin was currently attending Front Range Community College where he was earning his Associates Degree for Construction Management. Austin was well known for his perfectionism; he wanted every customer to be happy with his work. He would go out of his way to fix issues with trim, drywall and finish that were not part of the job because that was the way he rolled.
Austin was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Longmont.
Austin is survived by his parents Jeff and Kristal Hopp, his brothers Andrew Hopp of Johnstown, and Alec Hopp of Berthoud, Grandmother Janice Hopp of Mead, Uncles Scott Hopp of Mead, Zane Fuss of Dudenin, Florida, Todd Fuss and Kent Fuss of Lakewood, Aunts Tera Fuss of Littleton and Bambi Schleiger of Littleton, cousins Chanel Hackley Fuss, husband Sean Hackley and their daughter Kinsey of Leesville, South Carolina, Lacey Fuss and her daughter Viktoria of Golden, Brandon Mulvaney of Littleton, Nikita Fuss and her son Cooper of Littleton, Cinnamon Johnson and her daughter Harmony Jean of Lakewood. Numerous Great Aunt’s, Uncle’s and 2nd cousins.
Austin was predeceased by his grandfather Paul Hopp, Grandparents Alfred and Jean Willette Fuss Stallings and Grandfather Earl Fuss.
Austin’s greatest treasures were his family, the family pets, friends, colleagues, and customers.
Austin’s core beliefs were to love others unconditionally and to not judge. Austin was selfless and would do anything he could do to make sure others knew they were cared for and important, while often times putting his needs to the back burner. His goal was to make sure everyone he touched felt special, important, and cared for. He would go out of his way to help anyone that was struggling. He provided positive insights and encouragement to those in need, helping them find their stride.
His motto was “Don’t be Salty”!
Austin enjoyed, gaming with his brothers and friends. He was an avid Findlay hat collector, and watch collector.

Celebration of Life service 3:00 PM Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Longmont, CO. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to help cover Austin’s final expenses.
