Anna loved family above all else, and her joy was any excuse for a family get together. Many of her family and friends were present at her 80th birthday celebration earlier this month in Longmont, and she was beaming the whole time. If you were ever passing near their home, you knew she would be inviting you for dinner or to just stop by – even if you were not family.
Back when the family went fishing or camping, she happily tolerated the cold, rain, mud, mosquitoes, and countless hours of fishing by Michael and the kids. She would keep busy reading, hiking, and cooking for whenever the family returned from the day’s activities.
When she and Francis moved to Longmont almost 20 years ago, she jumped right into the small town life meeting new friends, getting involved in church, joining clubs and keeping Francis out of trouble. It wasn’t long before she was joining him on family reunions to Kansas and get-togethers with his family at the farm.
She will be remembered as a caring, welcoming wife, mom, gramma and friend.
