Antoine David Monette entered into eternal life on October 20, 2016. He was born to David and Thelma Monette on May 16, 1977 in Gardena, California. He was the eldest of 3 children and grew up in the city of Compton where he was fondly known by many as “Skip.” He gained his elementary and middle school education from St Philip Neri in Lynwood, Ca and his high school education from St Anthony’s in Long Beach, Ca. He held several jobs over the years at retail store warehouses such as Target, Food 4 Less and the 99 Cents Store. Most of his career was spent at the United States Postal Office as a Warehouse Distribution/Mail Clerk. On November 17, 1999, at the age of 23, he became a proud father to his one and only son, Quinn Monette. He also played a huge role in his nephew and nieces lives all of whom simply referred to him as “Uncle.” He enjoyed watching LA sports teams (Lakers, Dodgers, and Raiders), barbequing, local politics, dominos, and traveling to Las Vegas with friends and family. He devoted most of his time to caring for his family which included raising his son, helping his parents with daily tasks, and looking after his nieces and nephew. Antoine often used social media to communicate with his loved ones and on October 7, 2016 he left this as his last post to his family and friends. “God's way of putting people right with Himself has been revealed. It has nothing to do with law...God puts people right through their faith in Jesus Christ. God does this to all who believe in Christ, because there is no difference at all: everyone has sinned and is far away from God's saving presence. But by the free gift of God's grace all are put right with Him through Christ Jesus, who sets them free. God offered Him, so that by His blood He should become the means by which people's sins are forgiven through their faith in Him” Antoine will be forever loved and remembered by his parents David and Thelma Monette, brother Paul Monette, sister Diana Monette, son Quinn Monette, nephew Izaiah Stephens, nieces Arianna Stephens and Parker Monette, grandparents, and countless uncles, aunties, cousins and friends.
