JONES, Stanley Arthur “Tubby”; Age 99, passed away peacefully, at Valleyview Home, St. Thomas, on Wednesday March 15th 2023. Born in Montreal QC, to George Henry Jones and Emmie Simmons pre-deceased by his wife of 67 years June Esther (nee Hawkes) (2010). Also predeceased by brothers George, Clifford and Lawrence Jones. A long time resident of London ON. A Veteran of the Second World War serving in England, Belgium, and France. A loyal employee of Canadian National Railway for over 47 years. An avid participant and fan of all sports especially baseball and hockey. An alumni of London Majors Baseball Association. Survived by his children Gale Healey (Bill) S. Lawrence “Larry” Jones, and Catherine “Cathy” Jones. Cherished grandfather of Rob Healey (Laura), Susan West (Mike), Dr. Paul Healey (Dr. Jane Healey), Jennifer Jones Sauve (Richard), Erin Pecore (Tom), Brent “B.J.” Cremers (Denise), Joanna Cremers. Great-grandfather to Emma Healey, Dana Healey (John), George Laskaris, Gabrielle Healey, Isabelle Dowling, Clara Healey, Liam Healey, Rhys Sauve, Noah Sauve, Jacob Cremers, Jaxon Cremers, and Portia Cremers. Great-great-grandfather to Bain French. It is with deep gratitude that Stan’s family remembers the compassionate care received through the years by staff at Valleyview Home.
