Emma Frieda Popp

Emma Frieda Popp (Knibutat) was called home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, November 14, 2019. Peacefully at Meadowpark nursing home, surrounded by the love of her daughters Gina and Lisa and also her sister, Helga Elford. Emma was born in Lithuania on September 19,1930. She was one of 9 children, 3 of whom died during their childhood years. The remaining 6 children along with their parents came to London, Ontario, Canada to build a new life following WWII. Predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Henry (Heinrich) Popp (2014). Also predeceased by her brothers Ossie and Otto, and sisters Hedwig and Johanna. Survived by her sister Helga Elford (Bob), sisters-in-love Mary Knibutat and Audrey Knibutat and brother-in-love Otto Danner. Emma is a cherished Gaga to and will be greatly missed by Logan, Aidan, and Victoria Dean and Jaron, Avram, and Natania Horne. Also missed by her son-in-love Paul Horne. Emma will also be missed by her extended family in Germany as well as missed by many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Our Saviour Lutheran Church (1499 Brydges St., London) on Tuesday November 19, 2019 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
