She was born in Detroit June 9th, 1934, the ninth and last child of Joseph Martin Jagodzinski and Katherine Barbara (nee Muszynski) Jagodzinski. They belonged to St. Francis D’Assisi Parish, and she graduated from St. Hedwig High School in 1952. In 1955 she received a diploma from the St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing. She married William Richard Kocher on April 7th, 1957. They raised six children in Dearborn Heights, then Troy, until William’s sudden death on December 26th, 1971. After six years raising children on her own, she married Kenneth Grimes, himself a widower with four children. The combined household relocated to West Bloomfield, residing on Green Lake. Their home became a hub of activity for the ten children and their friends. Teri and Ken were long time members of Twin Beach Country Club in West Bloomfield, had many friends there and enjoyed golfing getaways throughout the country. In 1990, they retired to Moss Creek, Hilton Head, South Carolina, enjoying 25 more years of golfing and entertaining friends, relatives, children and grandchildren. In 2015 they moved to Sarasota, Florida, where she cared for Ken until his death, April 12th, 2017. Teri returned to Michigan, living in Northville, and reveling in the company of her children, grandchildren and her first great grandchild.
